In South Korea, an advocacy group Human Rights plans to launch a petition to ask the Organization of the United Nations to free conscientious objectors. In addition, two Jehovah's Witnesses are likely released in the relatively near future. The Minister of Justice is in talks with the Minister of National Defence to establish an alternative civilian service, which would avoid reconviction of Witnesses.
