Exposure to

I met Elizabeth Skelly to his gallery of rural St. Eugene last year with my friend Manon Boisclair. We came to see a beautiful exhibition in the colors shamanic. As it is a warm and welcoming, we immediately hit it off. It seems we have many artistic tastes in common because my artist Western models are also his. Elizabeth is now working with Philippa Lesniak who is newly arrived from Britain. Both are sensitive, open, cultured and intelligent: they form a wonderful team. I hope we start a long and fruitful collaboration. I invite you to visit us at the opening on October 4 in the afternoon.

The Birds, a celebration of color and fantasy

Artists Stéphan Daigle and Gravel-Annouchka Galouchko address the theme of the bird, symbol of our quest for freedom. Inspired by the art world, they offer colorful works, breathing freshness and joie de vivre. A veritable feast of colors forms and fantasy that will delight connoisseurs of art as well as the kids! Both painters, writers and poets, the artists are also recognized worldwide for their illustrations of children's books.

Mi'gmaq Scriptures; On the trail of the first "writers" Gaspe ...

Mi'kmaq, Gaspe first writers? Yes, since the indigenous people (the only one in Canada!) Had a form of writing before the first Europeans arrived! Long regarded as an invention of French missionaries, writing Micmac had indeed existed in the form of ideograms. Each idea there was expressed by a symbol, like the Egyptian hieroglyphs. Symbols drawn on the bark to current dictionaries, learn the evolution of writing Micmac, our first writers!

Both exhibitions will be presented at the Musée de la Gaspésie September 25 to November 22, 2009. Welcome to everyone!
